5. Check tyre pressure (sticker in the fuel filler flap)
1. Please follow the steps exactly
2. Don’t forget to switch back to Auto at the end
3. The symbols are similar in all vehicles
In the video you can see where to switch on the hazard warning lights (the same for all vehicles). If you are asked to check them, switch them on and walk once around the car to check whether all indicators are working.
Procedure:
1. Stop parallel next to the car
2. Reverse until the end of the other car’s B‑pillar
3. Turn the steering wheel fully to the right
4. At 45° to the curb, steer left
5. When the vehicle is straight, pull forward to align
!!!! Turn your head all around the whole time (lighthouse) !!!!
Procedure:
1. Stop parallel next to the car
2. Reverse until the end of the other car’s B‑pillar
3. Turn the steering wheel fully to the right
4. At 45° to the curb, straighten the wheel
5. Reverse straight back until the curb lines up with the door handle in the outside mirror
6. Then steer left so the thick yellow line does not run onto the curb
7. When you are straight, pull forward to align
!!!! Turn your head all around the whole time (lighthouse) !!!!
Procedure:
1. Stop straight by the curb
2. Drive slowly and steadily about 30 cm from the curb
3. Keep observing traffic all around (lighthouse)
4. When you are straight, drive another 3 m straight
5. Wait for what the examiner says
6. Observe traffic – continue driving
!!!! Turn your head all around the whole time (lighthouse) !!!!

Drive normally:
1. In built-up areas, drive briskly when allowed (not constantly 35–40 km/h)
2. In a 30 zone, really 30 km/h (unless right-before-left or an obstacle)
3. On a priority road: brisk, but safe
4. Adjust in good time before hazard spots
5. Country road: 100 km/h if possible
6. Motorway: 130 km/h if possible
!!! DRIVING TOO SLOWLY LEADS TO FAILING !!!
Adjust speed to:
weather, traffic, road surface, visibility, load, vehicle
Important sequence:
1. Rear-view mirror
2. Side mirror
3. Signal
4. Shoulder check
when stopping, turning, moving off, changing lanes, overtaking, parking, turning around
When a bus stops:
1. Bus signals right: pass carefully (slow down if needed)
2. Bus with hazard lights: walking speed, stop if necessary
3. Bus signals left: let it pull out
4. Oncoming bus with hazard lights: also walking speed
Low beam, high beam, parking lights, daytime running lights, indicators, brake light (hand brake and foot brake separately), tail light, number plate light, reflectors
Check brake fluid, check brake discs, hand brake lever pressure, foot brake lever pressure, brake fluid, push the motorcycle and check the front brake, push the motorcycle and check the rear brake
Open the screw cap or check the sight glass. The motorcycle must be upright. Sight glass – the level must be between the marks. Dipstick – wipe the dipstick, insert it again, then pull it out and check whether the oil level is between the marks. If not, top up oil according to the owner’s manual.
Tension (see rear swingarm), lubrication (check with your finger), wear (check how far the chain can still be tightened), check sprockets
Check the level at the reservoir; the motorcycle must be upright.
Check for oil leaks at the rubber seals; when pressing down, it must move smoothly and evenly.
Tread depth (TWI indicator in the tread), tyre pressure (shown on the sticker on the swingarm), damage, foreign objects, whether the tyre is approved according to the registration document
Let the engine run, operate the kill switch; the engine must switch off – OK. ATTENTION: don’t do this for fun – only for the exam. Using the kill switch is harmful to the ignition system.
You ride into the slalom at a steady ~30 km/h. You take the turns by pushing the bike. Approach the
first cone straight and don’t start offset.
Mistakes:
no traffic observation before moving off, speed too low,
closing the throttle in the slalom, not pushing the bike, skipping a gate, hitting cones.
Accelerate to 50 km/h and ride straight. Shortly beforehand, observe traffic. Then pull the clutch and roll past the first cone
on the right. Then push the bike with a counter‑steering impulse to the left so you pass the second cone on the left.
Then return to the original line. When the bike is straight again, you may brake.
Mistakes:
no traffic observation before moving off, speed too low, not pushing the bike,
hitting cones, not returning to the original line.
Accelerate to 50 km/h; your line is slightly offset next to the first cone. About 10 m before it, pull the clutch
and brake briefly and firmly with both brakes so the fork dives. Level with the first cone, release both brakes;
the clutch stays pulled. Then swerve with a counter‑steering impulse (about 30–40 km/h). Then return to the original
line and only then release the clutch again.
Mistakes:
no traffic observation before moving off, speed too low, not pushing the bike, hitting cones, not returning to
the original line, not using both brakes (except integral braking).
Accelerate to 50 km/h and ride straight. Shortly beforehand observe traffic, then close the throttle, pull the clutch and brake immediately
with both brakes, briefly and firmly, to a stop. Keep the bike straight, look ahead
(with ABS do not pump).
Mistakes:
no traffic observation before moving off, speed too low, not using both brakes
(except integral), braking too hesitantly, looking down, bike not straight/stable, not releasing a locking wheel.
You ride in 2nd gear a total of 4 circles. The first circle is for stabilising and is about 10 m in diameter. The lean angle
must be visible. Watch your gaze direction (toward the centre of the circle). Then exit the circle in the direction of travel. On the
practice ground, the circle ride is done in both directions.
Mistakes:
no traffic observation before moving off,
wobbling, deviating from the circle shape, no visible lean angle.
You ride the long slalom at a constant ~30 km/h. There are 4 gates with 9 m and 2 gates with 7 m spacing. Before the start
you observe traffic. The speed stays evenly constant; in the last (tighter) gates you must
push more.
Mistakes:
no traffic observation before moving off, changing speed, riding around a cone.
You ride straight for about 15–25 m at walking pace (about 5 km/h on the speedometer). Your gaze is straight ahead.
You maintain speed by coordinating throttle, clutch and brake with feel.
Mistakes:
no traffic observation when moving off, too fast, putting a foot down, deviating from the line.
You ride the slalom at walking pace (about 5 km/h on the speedometer). Always look into the gap
to the next gate, not at the cone. Keep speed with a smooth balance of throttle, clutch and
brake.
Mistakes: no traffic observation when moving off, too fast, putting a foot down, hitting cones, wrong gaze (looking at the cone),
deviating from the line.
You start, stop, and start again. Before the first start, observe traffic. You must put your feet down
either twice left and then twice right (or vice versa). The first start does not yet count as a stop:
you start, stop (e.g. left foot), start again, stop left again, start, stop right,
start, stop right again. Then continue – exercise finished.
Mistakes:
no traffic observation,
wrong foot sequence (not 2× left + 2× right), stopping too fast/untidy, insecure footing, pushing the motorcycle.
